Believe it or not…I actually enjoy going to the dentist!  I used to despise it, like probably most people do, until I started going to Dr.Angela Osborn in Lone Tree.  OK, so my hygienist is also a good friend of mine, which means I get to hear her baby updates and gossip while she’s cleaning my teeth (I wonder if she likes the fact that I can’t talk back?).   But even if my friend wasn’t working there I would still love this place just for their caring and attentive staff and their quality of work.  In the past I would not have thought there could be much  difference from one dentist to the next, but now that I’ve been going here I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else.   I had a routine cleaning done recently and was asked by Dr.Osborn to take some staff photos for their new website with their new building they are currently moving into.   And here are a few of what I got….
P.S.  Have you ever seen a dentist website (or sunglasses sporting staff) this cool before??

It is always so exciting for the wedding day to finally come after I’ve been working with a client and helping them plan their big day for so long. I originally photographed Kelsey & Braulio’s engagement session at the Embassy last fall and was quite impressed when I found out they canceled their original booked photography company (who didn’t offer them an engagement session) and were hiring me for their wedding instead! And this Saturday the 20th I finally got to experience their big day with them! Kelsey & Braulio’s wedding took place at Queen of Peace Catholic Church with a reception at Embassy Suites. The whole wedding party was great to work with and so accommodating and cooperative! Kelsey was a radiant bride and Braulio had so much positive energy and emotion which really shows in the pictures. I decided to do this storybook in two parts because we got so many pictures and I just couldn’t wait to start showing them! Click on the “Play” button for Part I of Kelsey & Braulio’s wedding day.
Check out Part 2 of their wedding album.

Art and photography are my passions and when I’m not busy shooting weddings or editing portraits I can often be found scoping art galleries or working on my own fine art images. Sometimes its tricky to get into shows out of state because the gallery owners often require the artists to be there for the opening plus there’s the cost of shipping heavy and fragile framed pieces. But lucky for me I happened to have weddings booked in New Orleans for 2 recent shows. The first one was a “Push Pin” show (no framing – yea!) and I had the pleasure of hanging my abstract nature images below.

For the 2nd show I was back in New Orleans for another wedding and one of my pictures was recently selected for the juried show “Forever Hold Your Peace” also held by the New Orleans Photo Alliance. I still remember the moment I snapped this photo. I was photographing a wedding at the Chateaux in Broomfield, Colorado. The flower girl was very antsy and running around showing off how she could cross her eyes. It was time for photos and it took a bridesmaid and a mother’s persuasion to get this girl to wear her headpiece. Just in the past month or so I’ve been doing a lot of head shots and what I call “personality shots” for professionals looking to update their image. Now a days with everyone networking through social sites like Face Book and Linked In, it is very important to have a profile picture that looks professional and updated. If you use an old photo it can give people the idea that you’re younger then you are and you may be unrecognizable to them in person. And if you attempt to take the picture yourself it can lead others to believe that you are not very professional or successful enough to afford a professional photo. Anyway….just my 2 cents…Here are some recent head shots I did along with personality shots which are becoming popular as a way to portray more of your style and show prospective clients who you are.   With their companies Wedding and Event Sitting by Charity (I can sure think of a few weddings that I wish had her baby sitting service) and Legacy Events by Emily, both of these gals wanted images to show off their fun and cheery personalities.  If you are thinking of getting some professional photos done contact me for some tips that will help you get the most out of your photo shoot.

To see the storybook  of Hillary & Matt’s wedding day click on the start button below. You may remember Hillary & Matt from their recent photo preview on my old blog.
Hillary & Matt had a beautiful outdoor wedding at Palmetto’s on the Bayou Restaurant in Slidell, Louisiana.  Palmetto’s was the perfect private setting on the bayou with plenty of space for mingling and dancing.  We had great warm weather, awesome Southern food, and even better Southern hospitality!  Since no wedding goes off perfectly….we did have to move the dance floor inside to avoid a pestering swarm of termites….but it just made the wedding even that much more intimate!  Thanks again Hillary & Matt for introducing me to your families and trusting me to photograph such an important day!

I just recently finished creating a wedding day guest book from the pictures I took last fall of Kate & Alex’s engagement session around downtown Denver and Sloan’s Lake.

Since I started these last year they have been a huge hit! Why go with the traditional way of having guests sign their name on a line when you can have them leave you thoughtful notes in a book of your engagement pictures?! I only wish I had thought to do one of these for my own wedding …

Kelsey’s Boudoir Album

June 15, 2009

Kelsey wanted to give her husband a special & unique wedding gift so she asked me to do some fun & sexy boudoir pictures to surprise him with.
For our photo shoot I transformed her home into a studio by finding interesting corners, getting creative with the lighting, and using props that I brought or we found around her home.
It’s always fun to find an outfit that will be special to your man! Kelsey’s fiancee is a huge Lakers fan, so we had to do some shots in his Lakers tank top, and we even found a tiny toy basketball to use as a prop!
If anyone is trying to think of a special gift for their husbands, you can’t go wrong with a boudoir photo shoot! Most likely you’ve been working out for months, taking extra special care of your hair, and are looking hot in preparation for your wedding day … so why not show that off with some fun sexy photos?
And it really doesn’t matter your size or if you consider yourself model material … your man is marrying you for you and he will love you for giving him a small private book of pictures he can take with him while he’s away or keep under his bed for those lonely nights, or even to look at on your 50th wedding anniversary! Contact me for boudoir tips and more information!

Congratulations to all the graduating 5th graders! What better way to celebrate than with musicians, games, food, friends, and fun! Fun Productions transformed a backyard into a carnival full of all kind of activities including a climbing wall, dunk tanks, craft booths, and so much more.  The kids were so much fun to photograph and it could not have been a more beautiful day!

Yea. I’m so excited to get my first post up on my newly designed blog!! I just finished my final album design for Bianca & Rohan’s wedding held at Le Pavillon in New Orleans, Louisiana.  If you click on the start button below you can watch the slideshow of the album and there is even an option to view it full screen, how cool is that (can you tell I’m a little excited)!? Enjoy.
