I just finished the proof of Lindsay & Mike’s Wedding book from their recent wedding at the Crystal Rose near Highlands Ranch.  When viewing, keep in mind that you are looking at the layouts of 2 open pages.  These story books can be quite time consuming but they are definitely my favorite part of the post production/editing process.  But then it gets even better when I send my design off to print and I get to hold the final piece and see my client’s reactions when I hand it it to them.   To me its like collaborating a work of art!  The bride has been meticulously picking out all the colors and details of her wedding day palette, I capture that in pictures, and then create a beautiful book which will be seen by many and preserved for generations to enjoy in the homes of the newly married couples.    Sometimes its hard to give up my artwork, but then that’s when I order another sample copy for myself  ;)

Here is Part 2 of Kelsey & Braulio’s wedding day. Thank you guys for letting me document such an important day in your life. I also need to thank a few wedding vendors who helped pull off such a wonderful wedding day. Sharon at the Queen of Peace Catholic Church who kept the ceremony smooth even when the wedding party showed up just 5 minutes before walking down the aisle. The Embassy Suites in Denver did a great job setting up for the reception and the staff there was just amazingly helpful and courteous. The DJ also was amazing at mixing up American & Mexican beats, and he was even bilingual, which I’m sure helped a lot of the guests keep up with what was going on. Also, thank you Chris for being a wonderful assistant and always knowing what I need next without needing to ask.   You can also check out Part 1 of their wedding album.
Enjoy the show…

This past Saturday July 18th I had the pleasure of traveling to the small mountain town of Edwards (located near Vail, Colorado) to photograph the wedding of Allison & Brian. I was super excited to get out of the city and have been looking forward to this wedding all year. It was a long but beautiful day in so many ways and with so many pictures to go through (over 2000 shots, not even counting my assistant’s) I quickly decided I was going to have to break up my photo preview into segments. So here’s part 1 which involves the preparations and the 1st meet up. For the girls getting ready involved doing hair and makeup at the Westin hotel. While for the boys it meant drinks and laughs around the Riverfront.

Introducing….my newest wedding add-on….the boudoir bachelorette party!!! So I can’t take all the credit…Kristen (the bride), and Molly (the matron of honor) approached me with this idea which I could not pass on! The girls had a hotel booked for their wild night downtown so I simply met them there and then spent about 10 minutes doing quick shoots with each girl. One of the bridesmaids is a make up artist so a few of the girls even had their makeup professionally done, which is a big plus for pictures. We soon discovered a team of Argentina soccer players were staying across the hall and boy were they happy to find us! Then once the sun started to set we made our way to the rooftop patio for some fun shots of the whole group together, it was a blast! I had to wait for the wedding to post these…but I’m just so thankful these girls were brave and confident enough to give me permission to do so. Enjoy! (don’t forget to turn down your speakers if at work)

Lindsay & Mike recently married at Crystal Rose at Highlands Ranch in Colorado. You can tell by the expressions on their faces in the photos how excited and happy they were to finally be here for their wedding day after so many long months of planning. We were a little nervous about the dark clouds in the sky, but Lindsay’s lucky horseshoe necklace must have done the trick, as the weather turned out to be perfect! I’m working on their album design but was too anxious to get some of these pictures online…so lots more to come!

I finished editing Hillary & Matt’s wedding pictures and found many more amazing shots that I was not able to fit into their storybook album. With almost 2,000 pictures taken and close to 1,000 final edited images, narrowing down the photos is not always an easy task. I decided to put together this mini music video as another way to view the story of Hillary & Matt’s wedding day (without having to manually sort through 1,000 pictures!).

I am testing out this new program, trying to decide if it’s a worthy investment, so please let me know your thoughts and opinions on it.

Thanks so much!
Nicole
