New Product Options – The Print Box

I love creating new products for my clients, and had to share this one.   The Boudoir Print Box comes with 5 or more of your chosen images from your photo session.  Each image is retouched, mounted, and coated with a fine linen texture for a truly unique look.  With the boudoir print box, you can safely store away your 5×7” images in a cute colorful box, and choose your favorite for displaying in a frame or on an easel.  Keep in mind, boudoir pictures don’t all have to be R-rated.  Most people I photograph start off in their favorite cocktail dress or outfit, which would make a perfect image for your husband to put up on his work desk.  For those that do decide to get more revealing and take it all off, perhaps keep that image for the bedroom walls….or even under the bed.  One woman I know keeps her favorite most sensual photograph framed in her walk-in closet.  That way every morning when deciding what to wear she gets a reminder of how beautiful and awesome she is!  And remember, age & size doesn’t matter, you’re beautiful at all stages of your life.  Play the slideshow below to see some more boudoir portraits of this beautiful mature woman taken at her home for her 60th birthday!

Every woman is uniquely amazing in their own way and deserves to have a beautiful photograph of themselves to be reminded of this. If you want to capture your more sensual side…for yourself or for your significant other, consider doing a boudoir photo shoot.   Mark my words, if you don’t feel amazing & beautiful after your photo shoot, and if your significant other doesn’t absolutely love your pictures, then I will refund your money at no loss to you.   If you have been thinking about doing a boudoir session this is the time to do it!
Book now & receive your choice of either complimentary professional hair or makeup for your photo session, offer expires May 31st.

Denver Boudoir Photography: Pin-Up Style

January 18, 2012

Need some ideas for Valentines?  for a Wedding Gift?  Read what one of my clients had to say about her pin-up photography experience:

Hey Nicole,
I just wanted to drop you a line and let you know how much fun I had last week!   I never expected to finally be able to do a pin-up/boudoir shoot but you really made a dream of mine come true! (It now ranks right alongside the time I got to drive a bull-dozer)!  I really appreciate your professionalism, as well as that of your assistant. While I am used to dressing and undressing in front of people (as a theater performer) I have never been in the position to POSE in front of them without clothes on. It was just a great experience all around! I can’t wait for the unveiling to talk to you soon.

Best wishes,
Ann K

Boudoir Photography for a Good Cause….Celebrate Life Celebrate Yourself

April 12, 2011

Meg & Anda recently won a boudoir photo session that I donated to Boulder Valley Women’s Health Center Broads for Birth Control, Chicks for Choice
fundraiser.   I’m truly an advocate for their mission: to serve over 5,000 low-income and uninsured women and teens a year.  When I first moved to Denver, jobless and barely any belongings after escaping Hurricane Katrina, I had to rely on Denver’s community health centers.  They took great care of me, and I strongly believe everyone should have access to great health care when needed.

Anyway…I was very excited when Meg called me to set up her boudoir photo shoot.
She told me her best friend Anda wanted to share the session to celebrate their 40th birthdays & upcoming wedding anniversaries.  It sounded like a great reason to take some fun & sexy pictures, and they even got a hair & makeup session included with their package.  They certainly had a lot of fun at the photo shoot & we played around with different props & outfits.  Anda did some shots in her wedding lingerie, which I thought was a great idea, and will hopefully really surprise her husband (most of her pictures are reserved for his eyes only)!  We did the photo shoot at my home studio, which is more of a living/meeting space then studio, but it has been working great for boudoir sessions.  I just have to make sure my husband leaves for the day, and he certainly doesn’t mind the excuse to go out and play with the boys.

Today I booked another boudoir session – for a beautiful woman about to turn 60.  I love how more and more woman are opening up to the idea of sexy artistic images that will document this stage in their life.  Of course the (almost) 60yr. old woman remarked how much she wish she did this 20 yrs. ago, and I wouldn’t be surprised if  40yr. Meg & Anda were wishing the same thing….but it’s always better now then never.  And really, the important thing is to love who you are now, celebrate life, celebrate yourself!   ….oh, and it certainly doesn’t hurt to spice up your love life either  ;-)

Boudoir Photography – Bachelorette Boudoir Party Contest Winner

February 1, 2011
contest winners at The Warwick in Denver, CO

contest winners at The Warwick in Denver, CO

I recently photographed Tamara & her friends, the winner of of my 2010 Bachelorette Boudoir Party Contest.  For winning the contest, I provided a suite at The Warwick Hotel for the photo shoot, a couple bottles of champagne, a mini boudoir session for each girl, and a few extra little goodies for the girl’s night out.  I love doing boudoir shoots at The Warwick because its the only hotel in Denver that has  a rooftop pool patio & a balcony in each room, perfect for pictures! Luckily it was a warmer then normal winter day so we were able to take full advantage of these features. Tamara’s honest & creative answers got her in the finalist selection.  Then her friends rallied for her support which led to her receiving the most votes to win the contest.  Congratulations to Tamara for winning!  Below are some of their more “PG” photos I was given the OK to post…the others will have to stay secret for their eyes only.  Here is Tamara’s winning contest entry:

1) I want to win the Bachelorette Party because… as graduate students, my friend Ali and I are both getting married with a minimum of fuss; we haven’t had time or money to kick it and celebrate like we’d like. This would be a way for us lo let go and let down our hair in a safe environment. We spend a lot of time being careful not to do anything that might get back to our students, or slow our program down, or tick our advisers off… If I were to win, there would be two bridal celebrants; Ali (who gets married in July) would never think to enter a contest like this, even though she’s a fantastic dancer. This would also allow me to have all my Maids of Awesome (who live in three cities, across three time zones) together for the first time. Grad students need a break. We’re not bad; we just made bad life choices!

3) My girlfriends are the best… because some of them have been around forever; some of them have been front and center for my biggest crashes and burns; some of my friends have stood next to me even as I tried to hurt them, and I have stood by them in similar circumstances. But to a woman, I could not have dreamed up a more diverse and perfect support system. These women are my rocks.

4) If you have a fun unique idea for your bachelorette party, please share.
My colors are lemon, slate/platinum and white, and I heart Jessica Rabbit and Betty Boop. I also think every woman should dance, just to appreciate how her body moves and talks back to her. My dream shower involves us all getting together for a complete girls weekend. Hotels, manis, pedis, Prosecco, some sexy dance moves in a pole dance class, then boudoir photos, a long, lingering lunch over Indian food, the change-and-go with snapshots at the hotel, the raucous dinner, Latin dancing, then late night street food (gyros, anyone?), before going back to the hotel for hot tub, pomegranate martinis, and ice cream and snacks over movies until we fall asleep, one by one, draped in colorful pajamas over every couch and chair in our suite. My girls all together for one weekend- that’s my plan for my bachelorette party, whether it is in Colorado, Ohio, or New York City.

Bachelorette Boudoir Contest Results – Tamara is the Winner!

June 17, 2010

Wow, talk about a close race!  At first I thought Meagan had it in the bag then Brittany started catching up and before I knew it Tamara came in late and wasn’t going to give up.  Brittany & Tamara both did an amazing job rallying their friends and family and both got over 100 votes!  But in the end Tamra just barely beat Brittany out by less then 10 votes!   My intern and I both just double checked the results, we couldn’t believe how close it was! Since it was such a close race I would like to offer Brittany a second runner up prize of a complimentary Boudoir photo shoot.  I will be contacting both you lovely ladies soon with the details.  Thank you to everyone that participated and voted, and Congratulations Tamara!!    And check out my special below if you’re interested in having your own boudoir bachelorette party!

Bachelorette Party Finalists

May 26, 2010

The time has finally come for a winner to be chosen for the “Boudoir Style or Your Style” Bachelorette Party!  To keep things fair my intern picked the finalist and YOU will pick the winner!
The brides to be were asked 1) Why do you want to win a Bachelorette Party  &  2) Why are your girlfriends the best?
Just leave a comment with who you are voting for and the finalist with the most votes (one vote per person please) by June 15th will win. Thank you for all the girls who entered, I had a ton of entries and it was fun to read through everyone’s answers.
Want your own Bachelorette  Boudoir Party?!  Check out this special or let me create a custom package for you! Here are the 8 finalist:

Meghan
- I want to win the Bachelorette Party because I have been wanting to do a boudoir session for a REALLY long time for my fiance. As I have been telling all of my friends about this idea, they have all been getting ridiculously excited about the idea as well. Unfortunately our combined finances do not allow us to do the kind of photo sessions we would like. We have all been unable to agree on a great idea for my bachelorette party so far but I know this would be perfect since it is something we all are trying to do for ourselves anyway!
- My girlfriends are the best because I have been friends with all of them for years, some even since middle school if you can believe it. Instead of just a group of girls who are all fairly similar and who are all interested in the same thing, well, we couldn’t be more different. Seriously, we have it all – conservative, liberal, artistic, rational, irrational (lol), flirty, shy, loud, etc. Despite all of our differences, all of my girlfriends are the most dependable friends I have ever had. We are all very busy with school, work, family, and everything else that life has been throwing at us lately but when one of us is in trouble, no one hesitates to drop everything to help out – kind of like a family but a lot more fun and a LOT less dysfunctional…

Julia
-I want to win the Bachelorette Party because I love my girls so much I would do anything for them. I have survived losing close friends and moving cross country to be with my fiance hundreds of miles from all my family and they have kept me optimistic and helped me make friends here.
-My girlfriends are the best because they listen to all of my rants and crazy bad ideas before they give me a much needed dose of reality and tough love support. I am a good girl from Alabama who needs a wild night out before she gets married!

Kimberly
- I want my Bachelorette Party photographed because I want to remember it forever!
- My girlfriends are the best because they are so giving, helpful, fun, smart, & beautiful!

Brittany
- I want to win the Bachelorette Party because each of the six girls in my wedding party are from different states: Ohio, Tennessee, Colorado, Mississippi, and Pennsylvania. Most of us moved to Memphis to go to school, which is where we met. We all graduated together in 2007. Other than my wedding day there will probably not be another opportunity for us to all be together for several years. This group of women have made a huge impact on my life. I would love the chance to share a special day with them, which would  probably not happen otherwise  because of the expense of traveling across the country to attend a bachelorette party in addition to the wedding. Having the opportunity to get together for a short time like we used to, would be one of the highlights of my year.
- My girlfriends are the best because no amount of time or distance has varnished our relationship. We have all stayed very close even though we have to contend with time zone differences and hundreds of miles between us. We may not get to see each other very often but each one of the women in my wedding plays a vital role in my life.

Avital – I want to win the Bachelorette Party because…. I have had to wait so long to get married because my fiance is currently serving a tour of duty in Afghanistan. When the time finally does come, I want to celebrate as much as I can!
-My girlfriends are the best because…… I’ve known them forever. I have been their bridesmaids and they will be mine. They are genuine, caring, genuine — and fun! — ladies that deserve the best.

Katie
- I want my Bachelorette Party photographed because it’d be memorable.
- My girlfriends are the best because they are supportive, loving and fun.

Nichole
- I want to win the Bachelorette Party because….  my girls are hot and a lot of fun….my name is Nichole and I think it’s a match made in heaven!
- My girlfriends are the best because……  they love to laugh, are no shy and are great to be around with! I can always count on them!

Tamara- I want to win the Bachelorette Party because… as graduate students, my friend Ali and I are both getting married with a minimum of fuss; we haven’t had time or money to kick it and celebrate like we’d like.
- My girlfriends are the best… because some of them have been around forever; some of them have been front and center for my biggest crashes and burns; some of my friends have stood next to me even as I tried to hurt them, and I have stood by them in similar circumstances. But to a woman, I could not have dreamed up a more diverse and perfect support system. These women are my rocks.

Contest Rules: The winner will receive 1 nights stay in 1 hotel room chosen by Nicole Nichols Photography (in either Denver or New Orleans), champagne, a mini boudoir session for each girl, & a $50 print credit for the bride. The winner will also be given the option to pass on the hotel room & boudoir photos in exchange for having their night documented for up to 3 hours or until I’m kicked out (strip clubs don’t allow cameras). Photos will be revealed at a private Image Unveiling Party at Nicole Nichols Photography studio. Each guest will also receive a $20 print credit .  Nicole Nichols will be your personal photographer and therefore must be available on the requested date.

Boudoir Portrait Session

There are many different reasons a woman chooses to do a Boudoir photo shoot.  Many people do it strictly for themselves, while others for their significant other- as a wedding gift or a surprise to keep those sparks alive!  Some woman do it to celebrate loosing weight or just for a fun adventure to make themselves feel good.  For Molly it was a combination of a few of the above as well as a way to remember & enjoy her young toned body before pregnancy & motherhood had its turn, (stay tuned for maternity pictures to come soon).  This photo shoot was the first one I’ve done at my new home studio and I have to say I was quite impressed with the results!  I was excited to put my new furniture to use and the interior details such as the wooden stairs and stained glass window worked great for the shoot. Of course having a beautiful subject like Molly helps too! Now I’m really excited to see what other kind of photo shoots I can do at my new place!

Check out the slide show below for more pictures from the shoot. Mature audiences only.

Go to my website and click on the “Sexy & Fun Gallery” link at the bottom for more samples of my boudoir photography.

All Boudoir Photo Shoots during the month of May & June will receive an additional $50 print or album credit, please call me at 504-298-5319 for details.
