Caleb is one of the cutest babies I have ever photographed! As his aunt I may be a little prejudiced, but we’re still planning on sending his photos to Regis & Kelly in hopes of winning their cutest baby contest. The first set of photos were taken today at a park in my sister’s neighborhood in New Orleans, the bottom ones were taken a couple of months ago at the Audubon Zoo. Caleb is a little camera shy and as soon as my camera is held up in front of him he freezes up and gives me a disgruntled grin. But with a lot of patience and a lot of goofing around in the park we were finally able to get some smiles out of him…or maybe it was just his love for the Saints!

We all know someone who has been affected by breast cancer.   3 of my immediate family members plus my aunt have been diagnosed with and thankfully cured of breast cancer….so I know its effects and pain far too well.
Therefore, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month…I am offering to donate $100 to the cause for every woman who schedules a personal portrait session.  Must be booked now through October 31st and includes the following photo shoots – Personality, Head shot, Model Portfolios, and Boudoir.

I recently did an engagement photo session of Joy & Joe in Denver’s City Park.  With names like Joe & Joy you know they were meant to be ;)     We had a great time playing with the dogs and enjoying the sunset as we walked around the park taking pictures.   I love dogs but boy can they be a challenge to photograph!  They are similar to photographing toddlers as you have to tease them with toys to get their attention and hope they don’t start crying if they get hungry or run away when they see a squirrel.   Thankfully,  I had my wonderful assistant Lauren help me keep the dogs under control and we managed to pull off some beautiful images of Joe & Joy and their 2 dogs.

High School Seniors

August 4, 2009

SassySeniors
Time to update my portfolio’s…I’ve been digging up old CD’s and searching through my computer for High School Seniors that I’ve photographed in the past 5 years in Colorado and New Orleans.   There are a bunch more seniors I need to add in, but it’s getting late and I haven’t had dinner yet, so for now enjoy these cuties! ;)

Believe it or not…I actually enjoy going to the dentist!  I used to despise it, like probably most people do, until I started going to Dr.Angela Osborn in Lone Tree.  OK, so my hygienist is also a good friend of mine, which means I get to hear her baby updates and gossip while she’s cleaning my teeth (I wonder if she likes the fact that I can’t talk back?).   But even if my friend wasn’t working there I would still love this place just for their caring and attentive staff and their quality of work.  In the past I would not have thought there could be much  difference from one dentist to the next, but now that I’ve been going here I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else.   I had a routine cleaning done recently and was asked by Dr.Osborn to take some staff photos for their new website with their new building they are currently moving into.   And here are a few of what I got….
P.S.  Have you ever seen a dentist website (or sunglasses sporting staff) this cool before??

Just in the past month or so I’ve been doing a lot of head shots and what I call “personality shots” for professionals looking to update their image. Now a days with everyone networking through social sites like Face Book and Linked In, it is very important to have a profile picture that looks professional and updated. If you use an old photo it can give people the idea that you’re younger then you are and you may be unrecognizable to them in person. And if you attempt to take the picture yourself it can lead others to believe that you are not very professional or successful enough to afford a professional photo. Anyway….just my 2 cents…Here are some recent head shots I did along with personality shots which are becoming popular as a way to portray more of your style and show prospective clients who you are.   With their companies Wedding and Event Sitting by Charity (I can sure think of a few weddings that I wish had her baby sitting service) and Legacy Events by Emily, both of these gals wanted images to show off their fun and cheery personalities.  If you are thinking of getting some professional photos done contact me for some tips that will help you get the most out of your photo shoot.
