A Traditional Korean Birthday Celebration and Lifestyle Baby Portraits
In Korea when a baby turns one they are sat at a table surrounded by fruit and desserts. A tray of different objects is placed in front of the child and the items she is drawn to predict the baby’s future. Money for fortune, rice for health, a pencil representing a scholar, yarn for longevity, etc…Olivia was drawn repeatedly to the rice, as you can see below.
Olivia had the most beautiful traditional Korean birthday outfit.
Olivia’s parents love to read to her and she loves her books!
Olivia’s room is full of lots of bright colors and fun toys. Her little pink chair worked perfectly for pictures.
Olivia’s grandmother was in town so we made sure to include her in some of the pictures as well.
Thankfully the weather was nice and warm outside so we had fun playing around with pictures in their backyard as well.
We did one more outfit change into this super cute pink ballerina outfit.
Olivia’s first home was the perfect backdrop for her lifestyle baby pictures. It truly represented the family and was a comfortable place for the baby to have her picture taken. If you are considering unique family or baby portraits contact me for our end of the year special.
