Chelsey & David: by Denver Engagement Photographer Nicole Nichols Photography
Chelsey & David where totally open to locations for their engagement pictures but knew they wanted a mix of parks filled with flowerbeds and iconic Denver urban landmarks. So I first took them to one of my favorite photo spots- Civic Center Park. They have large beautiful flowers growing here and its located right next to the Denver Art Museum, a truly unique Denver architectural gem.
This cute fun-loving couple loves the arts, reading books (play the slideshow below to see the perfect book backdrop I found), and chilling at home. They met out at the bars on St.Patrick’s Day….so you know that will always be a special holiday for them.
No matter how many times I do pictures around this area I still find new unique spots and fun poses every time. I’m a big fan of modern and vintage architecture and Civic Center Park and the surrounding area has the perfect mix of both.
I wanted to capture more iconic Denver locations and parks, so after Civic Center Park we quickly drove over to Confluence Park downtown for sunset. The sun set fast but night pictures in the city are just as fun, particularly on the Millennium Bridge below.
We also made sure to do a few pictures on the river as well as alleyways. I love how in downtown Denver you can so easily get a mix of urban city and natural outdoor landscapes.
As we were walking around we noticed how huge the moon was! It was a large harvest full moon, and it lit up the sky like a big street light (see below).
