Denver Engagement Photographer: 16th St. Mall & Sloan’s Lake

Dmitry & Taisiya’s Engagement Picture Preview

Winter Downtown, at the Clocktower, and all Around

A surprise engagement on top of a clocktower,
will lead to a destination wedding in Mexico.
Which will lead to years shared together,
and hopefully a life that couldn’t be any better.
But before they become husband and wife…
a few photos to show their friendship, love, and engaged life!

Outside & Inside the Denver Clocktower on 16th St.

Dmitry proposed to Taisiya at the top of the Daniels & Fisher Clocktower on 16th St. Mall. So it only made sense that we return to this Denver clocktower for some fun engagement pictures.  The clocktower is a historic Denver icon and an amazing place to visit.  However the top floor is only open for private parties…and to those looking for a truly unique Denver place to get engaged!

We also took pictures around Sloan’s Lake, where we dodged some joggers, walked & laughed, and froze a bit.  The engagement picture above is one of my favorite funky fine art images taken at the park.   I am really into the dramatic edgy look the dry winter tree limbs create, and I love this couple’s flirty expression.

A fun shot at Tilted Kilt

Walking around 16th St. Mall waiting for sun to go down and the street lights to come on we came up with the idea to do a fun engagement picture at The Tilted Kilt. Apparently Dmitry is a big fan, and Taisiya….well, not so much. But she was a good sport and had fun with it!

Downtown Denver has a lot of special spots full with memories to Dmitry and Taisiya. Not only did they get engaged inside the Clocktower, but right afterwards they had their first date as an engaged couple at Ocean Prime. And their first date ever was also on Larimer Square at Bistro Vendome, so we managed to get a few pictures in their as well.   Dmitry & Taisiya had lots creative ideas.  Whenever they travel they take a picture everywhere they go of themselves toasting Corona (kind of like the commercial), so we reproduced that in front of Bistro Vendome. (check it out in the slideshow below).   We had a great time doing their engagement pictures downtown and I’m excited to be working with them for their wedding too!

Taya - Thanks Nicole, the pictures look great! We had fun during the shoot, minus the cold of course. I hope the wedding falls on a warmer day. Thank you for your help and directions, we wouldn’t know what to do without you.January 25, 2013 – 4:18 pm
