Adria & Ryan’s Wedding Picture Preview
Ryan & Adria chose the historic and stunning Robison Mansion & Carriage House and St.Michael’s Catholic Church in Canon City, Colorado for their wedding day. They lucked out with dry and warm weather (perhaps a little too warm, but better then the alternative!), as about 200 of their friends and family members joined them for a storybook wedding.
Adria’s bridesmaids met her at the beautiful Robison Mansion to get dressed and ready for the wedding. I loved the unique bridesmaid dresses with their ruffles, and Adria looked gorgeous in her handmade strapless mermaid wedding gown with a diamond belt, lace veil, and floral hair bow.
Ryan and his groomsmen also first met up at Robison Mansion to get ready and prepare for the big day. They had a fun manly theater/game room to hang out in while they waited for the time to come to leave for the church.
For their ceremony their pastor had them put together a cross. Adria had the delicate inner cross which was held together by Ryan’s sturdy solid frame. I’ve never seen this before and I loved the symbolism of the crosses and how they were combined to create one whole unit.
St.Michael’s is a beautiful Catholic church located just minutes away from the mansion in Canon City.
The pastor knew Adria & Ryan and their family from the community and it was so nice to see their genuine delight in marrying them.
After the ceremony we all headed back to the Robison Mansion, the bride and groom caught a ride in a vintage red Cadillac, and Raft Masters provided shuttle buses for the guests. They had a large wedding party, so we did some fun pictures with them first then romantic portraits of just the bride and groom.
I LOVED this room at the mansion with its red velvet walls! Perfect for a stunning portraits with the bride.
Their dinner and reception was all held in the yard of the mansion. Thankfully we had beautiful sunny weather and not a drop of rain! The yard looked amazing as it was transformed into a large reception area to seat 200 guests and their big wedding party.
Roses, lilies, and a mix of unique flowers graced the tables in vintage vases. Table numbers were held up by wine corks and pearls and flower filled mason jars also complete the look of their colorful vintage wedding.
Blue Moon Entertainment was their DJ for the reception. The back patio of the mansion made for a perfect outdoor dance floor under hanging lights, drooping trees, and a star filled night.
At the end of the night before we made our trek back to Denver we made sure to capture a few more pictures of Adria & Ryan around the mansion. I love this shot below my 2nd photographer captured as I was shooting them straight on from the bottom of the stairs.
The wedding was gorgeous and I really hope to be able to photograph a wedding at the Robison Mansion again. It’s such a beautiful venue and totally worth the two hour drive from Denver! Thanks so much Adria & Ryan for hiring us to document your wedding day, see you back in Denver!
